“Scheduled entries” and associated delays
-
Greetings, all,
I’m about to launch my weblog with WP 2.0.3. At the moment I’m just experimenting with sample posts since I’m a newbie.
I’m using an external editor, ecto, on OS X 10.4.6. All posts have significant delays–sometimes ten minutes or so–before they show up on my site. They’re all queued as “scheduled entries,” viewable in the WP Dashboard. Do all WP posts experience this delays so that the database can process something? Or might it just be a time-stamp inconsistency with ecto and my server?
One reason I’m inclined to think it’s a WordPress-specifc thing is that some *settings* take a while to take effect when I make adjustments in the admin interface. When I adjust fonts in theme options, for instance, I sometimes have to wait a while to see the change.
Thanks very much for your time,
Nate
