8.19 update for WP 5.4.13

    Hi, we updated a site currently running WP 5.4.13 (due to another plugin) from 8.18 to the new 8.19 but this generated an alert saying the minimum requirement was WP version 5.6. We lost the Insights menu as well as the GA tracking code, which required reverting back to 8.18 to restore. The plugin currently shows as Requires WordPress Version:?4.8.0 or higher plus Compatibility with WordPress 5.4.13: 100% (according to its author). Can you confirm 5.4.13 is compatible, thanks.

    Thanks for reaching out.

    With our recent release, the minimum supported WordPress version was raised to 5.6.0.

    It sounds like the “WordPress Version” is displaying outdated information, I appreciate you for bringing it to our attention. I’ve notified our developers to get this info up to date to avoid future confusion. Moving forward, it will say “WordPress Version: 5.6.0 or higher”.

    This means MonsterInsights will not work on WordPress version 5.4.13. I’m sorry about that.

    We have the same problem. You should prevent your plugin from updating if it is not compatible any more.
