I just installed the plugin and added the shortcode to an empty page.

I created an account on jaas.8×8.vc

When I open the page with shortcode I have to wait for a moderator (but that would of course be me) or log-in (to become a moderator)

Then I get a pop up to log in at 8×8. This refuses my correct password. Also the option to reset a password does not work. It says it will resend the username. But it does not send anything at all.

I am using the free version.

    Hi,

If you are using the free version of the Jitsi Meet plugin with the free API, use the shortcode:
    [jitsi-meet-wp name="Sample Meeting" width="1080" height="720"/]
It allows you to easily start a Jitsi meeting on any post, page, or anywhere without waiting for a moderator.

Could you please share the shortcode you’re using?

    Thank you!

That is the code I have on the site

    [jitsi-meet-wp name=”testing video chat” width=”1080″ height=”720″/]

The problem is solved by removing the word “testing” in the shortcode.
So there is a limit in the amount of characters or the amount of spaces in the name?

    Anyway, it works now.

We have released a new version (It allows you to easily start a Jitsi meeting on any post, page, or anywhere without waiting for a moderator).
Please update your plugin and check this issue with?the free API.
