Have tried to install the 9.0.15 security update but the version being downloaded from WordPress still looks like 9.0.14 version. Haven’t compared the source code in detail, but it does appear to be the 9.0.14 version that is being downloaded.

If not a quick fix, how bad is the vulnerability that required fixing?
Do we need to disable or roll-back to a previous version until the fix is released properly?

    Many thanks in advance

    Regards

    Chris

    Hi Chris (@shinerweb),

Dylan here, one of the lead developers on the project.

Thank you for reporting the update failure, I’ve just had a look and it appears this might have been an issue with the WordPress update delivery code, however, I have confirmed the versions were released.

It seems to be resolved now and the update should complete normally, could I ask you to retry installing the update and confirming?

With regards to the security issue, the vulnerability is isolated to the admin area and would need to be performed by someone who already has full admin privileges to the site. We’ve flagged it as a medium-severity vulnerability, however, most users should not be affected due to the fact that it would require an already vulnerable installation environment.

I hope this helps? I look forward to hearing back from you.
