Admin panel stopped showing subfolders

I hope this makes sense. Recently my WordPress has stopped showing anything in subfolders. So for instance, /wp-content/plugins/bb_stats.php will display in the admin panel, but /wp-content/plugins/akismet/… will not. Same thing with themes. Odd thing is that the themes and plugins are still working, I just can’t see them on the admin panel – which is a hassle because I’m trying to install some new stuff.

I don’t have another blog on the same server, everything is 755. There were 2 recent occurrences on the server. The first was that the webhost had to copy the site to a new server because of a server exploit. The second was that I was running out of server space so I just increased the space.
