999 Unknown Error for LinkedIn link

The Broken Link Plugin is showing 999 Unknown Error for my LinkedIn link on my website, but when I go to the page (samanthacfischer/about-samantha-c-fischer) the link works. I don’t understand.

This is because 999 is an invalid server status code. If all is ok, a webserver should return status code 200 when you visit a page.
I have a 2+ month old support ticket with LinkedIn asking them why they send 999 while they should send 200. Support just doesn’t know and they keep referring me to stackoverflow https://developer.linkedin.com/support/stackoverflow#
They keep on giving me bulls**t answers and closing the ticket and I keep on opening it to finally get an answer.
If you read this threat stackoverflow threat, you’ll see that somebody (not LinkedIn) says “LinkedIn don’t allow direct access” whatever that means.
