How this even got past quality control is beyond me.

The deplorable rollout – pushing clients to upgrade – who then push developers like me – to then spend weeks of my time fixing issues on what should be a 15-30 minute upgrade and test.

“PayPal’s latest, all-in-one checkout solution ..” Note: Paypal has nothing to do with it! (their words via email)

I cannot even begin to explain the issues I have had with this. When I first installed this – I thought it must be something I did wrong, as there was no chance this wasn’t thoroughly tested before launch!

If your client asks for an upgrade, just send them to the reviews here. The worst thing about this is – they haven’t even bothered upgrading this plugin for over a month!

My advice, roll it back to the old version and stay with it for at least another year!

    Hi @peterricci,

We regret to hear that you have had a difficult time setting up the plugin but we’d like to clarify a few things you mentioned.
PayPal Payments is the latest official PayPal integration for WooCommerce and it is developed in direct cooperation with PayPal and WooCommerce.
New plugin versions are released in a 3-4 week cycle that includes about a week of rigorous testing.

The upgrade from the previous plugin is meant to take no more than a few clicks. So before you spend too much time troubleshooting yourself, I suggest opening a support ticket with us so we can help you out to instead resolve the problems you were facing.
    Thanks!

    Kind regards,
    Niklas
