A couple of slide design questions

You can position your layers to the bottom by changing the Vertical align of the Content layer. You can see how this is done on the tutorial videos: https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1430-tutorial-video-content-mode

If you want to have the same content on each slide, like it’s now, you could put it to a Static overlay: https://smartslider3.helpscoutdocs.com/article/1316-how-to-create-a-static-overlay-which-is-above-the-slides
which is above all slides of your slider, and won’t move away.

my button I have put on my slider won’t change colour when I hover over it even though I think I have set this up correctly.

Can you share a link to a slider where I could see a slider which has this problem?
If you don’t want to place the full URL on a public forum, you can just write the end of it, like “/contact-us”.
