    Hi Shea,

First of all, thank you so much for this amazing plugin! Code Snippets in conjunction with Simple CSS pretty much negates the need of a child theme for the majority of my sites. And I recommend this combination to all whose situation it fits ??

    Suggestions:
    1) please update the repo entry to show compatibility with the latest WP version as there are many who are averse to install a plugin which is not

    2) change the default button highlight for the first-time a Snippet is created so that Save Changes and Activate is “blue” by default and would change to Save being “blue” subsequently. Many, including me (initially) were caught by this and claimed “it’s not working” ??

    Keep up the fantastic work!
    Cheers!
    Lyle

    Hi Lyle,

Thank you very much for writing in, and my apologies for taking so long to get back to you.

    1) An update to the repository is coming very soon – once again, I am very sorry that this was not done much much sooner.

    2) This functionality actually already exists, but it is controlled by a setting on the settings page. When the “Activate by Default” option is enabled, the “Save and Activate” will always be the default (blue) button whenever a deactivated snippet is being edited.

It looks like this setting is set to disabled by default – probably to remain consistent with how things worked before it was enabled. I will change this to enabled on new installs in the next version, but for now you should be able to go and make the change yourself.

    Thanks again!

    Hi Shea,

I’m the one who should apologize … I have never been to the Settings page! LOL ?? I always just install the plugin and go right to adding a snippet! ?? That setting is perfect!

    Cheers!

No problem! Thank you for bringing it up, though, because it really should be enabled by default.
