A couple questions and suggestions

  • First off thank you for producing this much needed plug in. Ive given up on running my etsy because its so much trouble updating both it and and my website. I ran into a couple issues, the first I actually just sent an email about, but Ill repeat it here.

    First issue is that on the templates description area it seems like it dosnt want me to add anything asides from %excerpt% or presumably the other modifiers. It would be convenient for me to be able to add an additional paragraph below to cover options and info thats usually handled by additional plug ins on my woo commerce shop. When I add this paragraph it gets deleted and resets the template moments after I save my changes. Looks like maybe a limitation or bug?

    Number two is I have listings with 76 variations that cant be uploaded to etsy. It would be awesome if there was a future update that allowed to import over the first 70 variations.

    Number 3, theres an option in etsy commonly used, personalization on/off, required yes/no. this would be a handy feature to implement as well.

    None of it is a deal breaker I can work around these things and do some of the work manually. The plug in saves me countless hours and days worth of work setting up and updating pricing and variation on etsy. Thank you ??

    Thanks for the kind words.

    1) Working on a fix.

    2) Etsy has a limit of 2 variations. Sorry.

    3) Will consider.

    Thank you for your response. To clarify I have 1 variation with 76 variables. Apparently etsy or platysync one or the other limits to 70 variables. So I get an error message saying more then 70 variables and the import aborts without sending through any of the variables. I’ve deleted a few variables off these product to reach the 70 limit. I’m probably one of the few people who will reach that limit, reducing them on my end is ok but would be more convenient if the plug in could do it automatically just for etsy. Assuming it’s an etsy limit.

    One other question, do the listings ever auto sync or do I need to manually ask it to re sync a product? I am just wondering if anything will potentially throw off the manual adjustments I made in etsy.

    I did get into etsy to confirm that it is the limit of 70 options.

    Adding the extra text paragraph, and also adding the customization option through the etsy platform turned out to be really easy with thier built in bulk editor.

    Thanks again, I really wouldnt be bothering with my etsy right now and I do usually make a couple extra sales each month and find new customers on the platform. Not enough to justify spending days updating everything manually everytime I add and update product pricing. Your plug in allowed me to set up 40 procuts with 1500+ variations in just an hour or so. Great that theres a full feature free option and that the pro is affordable. Will definately reccomend it to others.

    Hey, there’s no automatic resyncing yet. Thanks for the confirmation regarding the 70 options.
