    First of all, I found a topic with the same problem, but they had found a solution to the issue in an incompatible plugin. This is not my case, I ran a test to find any incompatibilities with other plugins or themes and the error still shows.

    Basically, the issue is the same as in the other topic:

    There is en error saying “There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.” in 2 situations below.
    1. User completes registration
    2. I try to delete user on “Users” wordpress admin menu

    When I deactivate UM plugin, I can delete user without getting any error. So this error is probably caused by UM plugin and the error is shown only for functions related to UM plugin. The rest of the website works totally fine.

    The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    “There has been a critical error on your website. Please check your site admin email inbox for instructions.”

    Enable PHP error logging, read this guide: “How to enable debug logging”

    https://docs.ultimatemember.com/article/1751-enable-debug-logging

    You will probably get a PHP log file with notices and errors in this file:
    /wp-content/debug.log when you make a Registration.

    Post the content of this file here in the Forum and we can give you the PHP error explanation. For best formatting use the CODE format.

    I followed the instructions to enable debug logging. I changed those lines in the wp-config.php file, but still I can’t get the debug.log file (I searched for it recursively via FTP in the wp-content directory). I also tried to delete an account to see if, once it shows the critical error again, the debug.log file is automatically created, but still isn’t. ??

    @johnnydeppcrew

    What is the content of the email you got to your site admin’s email inbox?

    Thread Starter Johnny Depp Spanish Crew

    (@johnnydeppcrew)

    That’s the thing, I didn’t even receive any email about it. I also checked the spam folder and even another email account that was linked to my website before…

    OK, Please post your UM Settings -> Install Info here in the Forum.

    Disable caching for the UM Pages.
    Make sure that JetPack is not caching anything also.

    Ok, I disabled the LiteSpeed plugin and cleaned the UM users cache. I also checked if Jetpack is caching something, but couldn’t find anything related. I’m still getting the critical error… :_(

    @johnnydeppcrew

    Can you look at your cPanel or ask your Web hosting support if you have “ModSecurity” or any other Application Firewall installed and active at your site.

    I spent the weekend trying to solve it. I deactivated every caching tool from multiple plugins, such as LiteSpeed Cache and JetPack, and it worked! The thing is now the site health manager is warning me that I must implement some caching tool. But it’s OK, now that’s a minor issue. At least UM lets me manage user accounts again. ??
    Thank you anyways for your help! <3

    @johnnydeppcrew

    You can read in this guide how you can use “LiteSpeed Cache” together with UM.
