    Hi,

First off, nice to see the snippet previews are back to normal, so that lengthy titles and descriptions get a warning note.

However I’m not struck in the slightest on this new snippet preview whatchamacallit, whereby ‘Title, Page, Sitename’ have taken the place of %title% %page% %sitename% but I suppose I’ll get used to this in time – especially if I remove any ‘titles, pages and sitenames’ in the settings and do my own snippets.

One thing that is hugely wrong with this update though, is the swap between mobile view (of the snippet) taking the place of desktop view. Yes, we all know that mobiles are taking over the world, but not at the website building and maintenance stage – where the previous version started off in desktop view until mobile view was activated.

Are there any plans to insert a setting whereby desktop views of snippets can take preference over mobile views?

Thanks for your feedback. There is currently not a plan to have that as a setting but thank you for suggesting a new feature for our plugin! We’re actively using the bug tracking on our GitHub repository so your best next step would be to create a new feature request for our developers at https://github.com/Yoast/wordpress-seo/issues/new. You can create a new issue to submit your feature request. You will need an account to create one.

Don’t forget to include the URL to this conversation in your feature request!

    Closed. No further concerns/questions.
