A CSS Setting

I’ve got the democracy poll plugin working correctly on my side menu at https://www.rapnews.co.uk

however

i would like to add a space or so that the content either side of the poll has some space between.

I’ve opened the democracy css but I can’t seem to make any difference.

I’ve added into the sidebar css to no effect.
