A description for this result is not available because of this site's robots.txt

  • WordPress version: 3.4.2
    WordPress SEO version: 1.2.8.7

    For the last month i have been having a problem with the google search results for the https://www.safety-surfaces.com website.

    The following search for the site should show the problem, where some of the pages (mainly the homepage) meta descriptions say

    A description for this result is not available because of this site’s robots.txt

    The robots.txt file is set to allow access, as is wordpress itself.

    I have tried resubmitting the sitemap and robots.txt file to google, fetching as google in webmaster tools (which fails) all to no avail.

    As the plugin wordpress seo generates the description im wondering if this is possible an issue with the plugin (just trying to discount everything).

    Any suggestions are appreciated.
