A didfferent kind of weather plugin

  • Hey guys just wondering if theres already something out there that will grab the current weather and post it, statically like with an icon in your wordpress posts. Or is there a way that we can modify the quick tags with icons to post the current weather when you are writing. Also there could be trending linked to this, how many posts made on a rainy day versus whatever.
    Any ideas / input / flames?

  • Would need to add a table: id (int), post_id (int), weather (int), and a table with wt_id (int), wt_code (text) and perhaps wt_image (text). But why not. Could be funny.

    That would be really cool and I’m trying to modify the quicktags now to just post an image like cloudy.gif, sunny.gif, snow.gif etc… I have no idea about javascript and I’m a horrid coder all around so it may never happen from my end. But I thought it was a pretty cool idea for a plugin or hack. Keep up the thread if anyone is interested??
