I’ll have to think about this. What do you currently use for that?

its useful for showing as proof to clients who visit our website, creates trust among site visitors to see that there are other people who looking for similar posts, useful for sorting out popular posts or can also be useful for us admins to know how individual posts are performing as google analytics most of the time skews and doesn’t show actual visitors and also it’s blocked by ad blockers which makes it difficult to analyze

My two cents, most themes come as standard with this information baked in and if not it can be easily added via dedicated plugins, editing theme templates or by hooking in to said data with a quick snippet placed in the functions.php file.

Personally I prefer statistical data to be confined to the administrative area and not on view by my visitors.

High views show lots of engagement and can form trust from your audience. Equally though, pair old(ish) content with poor views and your target audience could make the decision that the article you are offering is not worth their time.

Regardless of my take on the positive and negatives on this matter I for one do not feel this is a function that should be applied to this plugin.

The whole premise of this plugin is to make the administrator/owners life easier, not to offer SEO or outward theme customisation.

@m4jor101 thanks for explaining. I understand. My two biggest concerns with a feature like this is performance hit on the frontend and database bloat on the backend. So, if ASE would ever include a feature like this. I’d like it done in a way that avoids these issues. Additionally, as this is a pretty sophisticated feature, it’s likely going to be part of ASE Pro, not the free version.

@tinnyfusion do note that ASE stands for Admin and Site Enhancements. To date, the focus has mostly been on the Admin side of things. I do hope to focus more on the Site end of things in the future. ??
