• A few bugs on the new beta:

    1. new post, others ping or track back, post reads as “0 comments” and uses that number for the “zero comments so far” on the comments page or pop-up

    2. i liked the original wp-backup. not sure how to backup the actual files (include everything in wp-content folder) or reload the backup on this version. also, it was hard to find (the other version of the plug in had an actual tab)

    3. after uploading the image, getting it on the page is a bit confusing. dargging and dropping seems to be slightly inefficient, since i wlaready intered a title and description. am i missing something?

  • Re #1: Are you running Spam Karma by any chance? if so, upgrade to version 2.1. Also empty the WordPress cache. This tends to happen when upgrading.

Re #2: Use FTP, SCP or other means to back up your files. Your files should rarely be changed. /wp-content is the exception. Make sure you get complete copies of your Webspace (/home directory) on occasions.

Re #3: Others have expressed similar thoughts.

    3. Click on the image, there is a nice menu.

    1. thanks for the SK tip; i do indeed have 2.0 installed – will upgrade now. uh, wordpress cache? I found a plugiin called that, is that what you mean?

    2. a) ok, but how would i re-import the database if i wanted to, once it’s backed up? b) yes, theoretically I’d only want wp-content backed up. But plug-ins like wp-email ask for a bit more, no?

    3. yeh, i saw the menu, but it’s still confusing. when i drag it, it’s a thumbnail, regardless of if i say i want a full image….

    2. a) If you used phpMyAdmin or the wp-backup plugin then you can restore your database with the Restoring Your Database From Backup instructions.
