    Hi,

Can you help. We use Tweet wheel all the time but we have had to deactivate since 1.0 update.

Running 1.0 we set up the queue. Excluded the posts we didn’t want to tweet. Now, when we press queue and press the named queue, nothing comes up, so we can’t access that queue to either add or delete a time etc. That queue is locked.

Even more pressing though is it is tweeting the same scheduled tweet 6/7/8 times. So for example, if we have a tweet set for 13.00 at 13.00 Tweet Wheel picks a random tweet as it should and Tweets it at 13.00, then it tweets it again, then again. Then at 13.01, 13.02 etc etc etc etc.

We have had to deactivate it. Can you help

    Thanks

  • Hi! I′m having exactly the same issue… I woke up this morning and I saw the same tweet posted a lot of times (more than 8 for sure) in different intervals (every 30 mins, every 8 minutes, etc…).
I tried to reinstall, but the problem′s still here.
In fact, I noticed that this post is not removed from the queue, but this is the option I checked.
I have had to deactivate as well.
    Thanks!

Hi. Just tried to reactivate after it being deactivated for 12 plus hours and it has retweeted the same tweet that was backlogged over 10 times. So, that would make it seem that it will just keep tweeting the same tweet over and over again.
This is a major bug, so it has now been deactivated again.

    Hi,

    Thanks for writing in.

    It is very strange.

Running 1.0 we set up the queue. Excluded the posts we didn’t want to tweet. Now, when we press queue and press the named queue, nothing comes up, so we can’t access that queue to either add or delete a time etc. That queue is locked.

I am not sure I understand. Are you saying that in the posts listing screen (where all posts are in form of a list), when you click “Manage Queues” next to any of posts, there are no queues available?

if we have a tweet set for 13.00 at 13.00 Tweet Wheel picks a random tweet as it should and Tweets it at 13.00, then it tweets it again, then again. Then at 13.01, 13.02 etc etc etc etc.

Can you please confirm your queue settings and schedule? I would like to reproduce it on my end.

I am looking into this now.

    Hi,

    1. Regarding the queue. We can exclude posts etc but we cant get to the settings as it was on the previous version to say if we want to add or change a schedule tweeting time.
If we click queues on the left, then it doesnt show us what is in the queue, it is totally blank.

    2. The schedule is on the hour every hour, every day.

I have just tried it again now. I had the first tweet scheduled for 8pm. It tweeted that same tweet 6 times before I then re deactivated it.

I have spoke to 2 other people that are using it and its happening to them aswell, so they have also deactivated it.

    Hi

    Thank you for your answers.

    1. Regarding the queue. We can exclude posts etc but we cant get to the settings as it was on the previous version to say if we want to add or change a schedule tweeting time.
If we click queues on the left, then it doesnt show us what is in the queue, it is totally blank.

I had faced this problem when I was testing the plugin. It appeared that a website didn’t have enough memory allowed to render queues. Would you mind confirming that your WordPress has at least 64 MB of memory assigned to it? The more you can provide the better for your website performance.

In 1.0 each queue has independent settings and they are located in the Queues page, which should become available to you if you follow the advice above.

    2. The schedule is on the hour every hour, every day.

I have just tried it again now. I had the first tweet scheduled for 8pm. It tweeted that same tweet 6 times before I then re deactivated it.

I will look into it now and let you know.

    Hi,

    1. Yeh more than enough memory.
Regarding the queue. I understand how it works on 1.0 but when I click the title of the queue on the left, nothing comes up.
So, that means once a queue has been set I then can’t edit it or do anything to it as I can’t bring up settings or anything for that queue once it’s been set

    2. Ok, Thanks

I have just loaded a queue up with 100 posts and I all seems in order. I really can’t reproduce the issue when queue’s settings become unavailable.

However, could I ask you to check browser’s console for JavaScript errors? The queue screen and tabs rely on JavaScript and if there is an error for some reason we would have an issue like that.

Let me know and thank you for your patience. I am sure I can fix it shortly ??

    No immediate errors.

There’s definitely something conflicting in 1.0 as it was working perfect for us before the update. Is there a way to revert back to the older version?

Regarding the queue, maybe I’m not being clear enough. Apologies.

I have the named queue on the left hand side. When I press it, nothing comes up on the right, so that means I can’t edit anything, can’t see settings and that queue is effectively locked being unable to edit.

    Hi,

Thank you for your invaluable feedback.

I have found the problem in regards to constant tweeting over the same tweet on the unscheduled times. I will be releasing a fix soon. I just need to test it first, before I let you use it.

In terms of the other issue where the Queue is blank, I had a beta version tester reporting that problem, but it was related to lack of memory only. Would you mind answering how much memory you have allowed to your website and, roughly, how many posts you have queued up on your website? I will continue looking into the problem for you meanwhile.

I appreciate you bringing the issue to me. I am happy to fix this or you.

    Hi!

I didn’t get anything on Twitter, just direct message me on @NerdCowUK and I will get back to you soon ??

I’ve just released 1.0.1 version which should fix the repetitive tweeting problem for you. Let me know if it helps!

    Hi,

You need to follow back for a DM. I just tweeted you. Thanks

So, far 1.0.1 hasn’t multiple tweeted. But it still tweeted the same tweet that was backlogged before, so hopefully that now moves to the bottom.

    Thanks
