If I use this plugin, I would want to continue using Google Analytics, too. Does the plugin conflict in any way with Google Analytics?

Do I need to, or should I, or is it best to, remove Google Analytics code if I’m going to use this plugin?

After the trial full version expires, does the free version continue to provide IP addresses?

I read somewhere, but can’t find the post now, that the plugin will place a Clicky Analytics logo or whatever on my website, and that I would have to go in and remove some code to get rid of that. Is that still the case?

Thanks in advance for your answers.

Okay, I’ll guess I’ll pass if you’re not going to answer my questions.

    Hi,

Your questions are rather about the Clicky service and already answered in their FAQ page and other resources on clicky.com.

Clicky doesn’t conflict with Google Analytics, which is also stated on their FAQ Page.

The rest of the questions are about the service itself. For details about free accounts limitations see https://clicky.com/help/pricing. For further questions about the service please use the Clicky dedicated forums.

Well, first, this was not “Resolved.” I certainly didn’t mark it as resolved, and I don’t know why you did.

Second, I asked you a very simple question, “After the trial full version expires, does the free version continue to provide IP addresses?” Instead of giving me a simple yes or no, you stated that my question is already answered at clicky.com. Then you also referred me to https://clicky.com/help/pricing. So, having already been there and wasted a lot of time looking for the answer before I asked you the question, I went there again and wasted significant additional time looking for the answer to the question, which such answer isn’t there, or if it is there, it’s hidden so deep that it’s nearly impossible to find.

Third, you asked me to “use the Clicky dedicated forums.” So, what is it about the location of this thread I’m posting on now, “Support ? Plugin: Clicky Analytics” that isn’t “Clicky dedicated”?

Fourth, and finally, this is now “Resolved,” since you have repeatedly dodged my very simple, principal question, and that confirms my suspicion that I should not do business with you. And I won’t. Not ever.

    Hi,

Thanks for the feedback. Just to clarify things, this is a free plugin which can be used with the Clicky service. The plugin and the service itself are two different things, unrelated by any means. Questions about the service should be asked to the service provider, in this case Roxr Software (clicky.com) and those related to the plugin here. This way, you’ll always get the answers from the source, which in my opinion are the most accurate.

Which is false, because your plugin that you claim is “unrelated by any means” to the Clicky service puts an ad for the Clicky service smack dab on the web pages of anyone who installs your “unrelated by any means” plugin.

That, on top of the fact that this discussion originated when over on a support forum for a different plugin I asked about reporting user IP addresses, you entered the discussion and said, paraphrased, “This [plugin] does, Clicky Analytics.” I.e., the plugin does reports user IP addresses, absent any “service.”

Again, no thanks. Never. Not ever.

I haven’t “entered the discussion” that’s my plugin too. I was answering a support question there, for my other plugin, giving you an option based on your requirements. And I haven’t mentioned “service”, my mistake.

When plugin authors are answering to your questions, there is an orange label indicating that.

These being said, thank you for your time and wish you all the best!

Thanks for letting me know. I’ll be sure to stay away from that one, too.
