A few questions about the Responsive theme

Hi,
I’m a relatively new WordPresser and I’m working with a couple of themes (2011 and Responsive). Right now I have a few questions concerning Responsive. These all pertain to the Home page, though some of them will have implications for the whole site as it develops.

1. There is a space between the bottom of the menu and the content area. Is there a way to get rid of that space so that the top of the content area is directly under the menu?

2. The menu is horizontally wider than my header image. Is there a way to control that width? Or, if not, what is the width so that I can resize my header image?

3. On the left side of the Home page there’s a content area under the sub-headline. The text in there is centered. Is there a way to make it left justified?

4 On the right side of the Home page, next to the headline and sub-headline, Images or videos can be put in. I’ve put in a video. Is there any way to put content under that?

I’ve got a few more questions, but I guess this is plenty to begin with.
