Also, the phpBB is version 3.2.0

On subdomains… things are set up as myste.com for wordpress and phpbb.mysite.com for the forum. However, the files site side by side on the service… /public_html/mysite and /public_html/mysitebb …is that a problem? I tried another plugin that seemed extremely easy to install, but, because of this setup, the plugin could not find phpBB.

Also, this is a new install of phpBB. So, with users, my question is about admin. In your documentation, you wrote, “The phpBB install admin is logged in, on WP, as WP install admin, and vice-versa, also if they have been created with different usernames.” I just want to be clear about what happens. The install admin accounts are left untouched in each, but will share the login credentials, right?

Thanks in advance for your responce and help.

Exact: they share login credentials, retrieved via cookies. About admin accounts (and users accounts): the difference is that admin install (uid2) in phpBB is recognized as admin install on WP even if have been created with different username (but need to have same email). All others, need to have same email and username. This is mandatory as explained on procedure.

    About the install folder:
the fact that the forum files are on folder
/public_html/mysite and /public_html/mysitebb (so this will be the path setting in wp_w3all setting)
and the site is served via https://phpbb.mysite.com (so this will be the url setting in wp_w3all config)
should not be a problem, but the cookie setting in phpBB need to be changed into:
    .mysite.com
also, follow procedure about cookie setting.
If still some problem let know!
