A follow URL link to a press article, guess blog or article spammy?
-
John Mueller of Google recently stated not to add your URL link to a press article, guess blog or article without a nofollow.
The example was link that would be a anchor text of a phrase for the subject of the text going to a similar subpage subject. For eample the text is about capped rate mortgages, with an anchor text “capped rate” linking to https://www.example.com/capped-rate-mortgages. Google regards this as an advert so a nofollow must be added. But is it ok to follow the link if the anchor text says my company brand name instead so “example brand name” link to the index page https://www.example.com?
