A gem among the classic WP themes – perfecf for WooCommerce stores

Blocksy is a gem! In this era where user experience, be it for the developers or the end users (website visitors) reigns supreme, Blocksy is moving the goal posts forward with its focus on versatility, performance, and impeccable design. Blocksy’s attention to user-friendliness, consistency of admin area design which translates to easiness on your eyes, and overall ergonomics,  is second to none.

In my opinion, Blocksy, in many ways, is among the leaders in the spectrum of classic WordPress themes (together with GeneratePress – and possibly Kadence). With its?meticulously designed starter templates, well thought-out extensions provided via Blocksy Companion plugin, Blocksy provides the perfect foundation for building any kind of website.

Though I wish the Blocksy team would finally release its mythical and long awaited Blocksy Blocks page builder and have the page builder hopping habit put to rest, I want them to remain laser focused on further iterating the Blocksy theme and continuing to expand its capabilities.

A few PROS and CONS you may consider when deciding to go with Blocksy for your next project:

PROS:

• FREE version offers excellennt customizations options with PRO version making Blocksy trully a fantastic theme.
• Excellent and supper polished starter templates
• Fantastic WooCommerce modules
• Very active and invovled Facebook community ready to help (users really love the theme)

CONS:

• Limited starter templates selection – but you can easily customize them for a wide variety of use cases
• Blocksy relies on multiple page builders to build the starter templates causing a bit of learning curve for some users (I hate their page-builder hopping)

My recommendation to potential readers of this review – if you are planning on building an ecommerce site, go with BLOCKSY PRO, it offers the most ecommece features out of the box. Plus, the recent templates built with GreenShift and FluentForms are impecable!
