• Dear @alessandrotesoro,

I was very happy to find this plugin. At the moment I’m developing a website for staff of a large railroad-company. I actually work there myself as a train-conductor.
We have our lunch/dinner-breaks at different railroad stations and sometimes you don’t want to bring your own food and just have something on the station. Because a lot of food stands and restaurants give discount to railway staff, it could be very easy to have a place where you can find which restaurants are nearby and who gives discount. That’s why I started TrackFood. There are about 6000 potential users.

I can see the plugin is in it’s starting phase. The basics are ready and working. These are the items I hope will change or come in the nearby future:

    – An easy way to find restaurants, like a dropdown list where users can pick a location or a map with all the listings on it, depending on where the user is at that moment. This might be one of the most needed things for me to work.

    – A way to change how the restaurant pages look. It looks a bit messy now

    – Can’t see icons in listings, for example facebook icon.

    – When adding a listing, the map shows the right amount of ‘zoom’ but on de restaurantpage I would like to see the map more zoomed in. Changing the setting ‘starting map level’ only changes the first.

These are the first few things I wanted to share. Keep up the good work @alessandrotesoro and thank you for what you already made. I’m always happy to collaborate to make things better!

    With regards, Jeroen

    Hi @jeroentjed

Thanks for your feedback, indeed Posterno is still in a beta phase and I’m improving it week by week. I’m uploading a new update right now! I’ll also publish a roadmap once the plugin is out of the beta phase.

    Regarding your suggestions:

    1) If you’re using the plugin right now and not just testing it, you could use the shortcodes like https://docs.posterno.com/article/526-locations-list-shortcode or https://docs.posterno.com/article/525-categories-list-shortcode

Mapping system and search system are all planned for release before the plugin reaches v1.0.0 and ends the beta phase.

    2) Posterno right now is using bootstrap so that I can keep the layout consistent across the majority of themes, unfortunately it’s simply not possible to make it compatible 100% with all themes out there so it’s bound to have some issues.

Could you please show me a link or screenshot of what you see on your restaurant pages right now so that I can understand what could be happening?

I’m currently investigating a way to keep bootstrap but maybe alter all the class names of the framework so that it doesn’t conflict too much with themes.

    3) If the icons aren’t displaying it’s high likely a conflict with your theme or any other plugin installed on your site. If you could grant me access to the page I’ll be able to confirm you.

    4) I’ll be adding this to my to-do list.

Let me know if you have any other questions or suggestions ??

Hi Allesandro, I can give you access to the site, where do you want to receive your login?

    Hi @alessandrotesoro,

I just created a account for you on the website. You should get a email with your password.

    Hi @jeroentjed

I’ve just had a look at your site and the issues with the layout “looking ugly” and icons not loading is because you’ve disabled bootstrap from the plugin settings.

The icons are loaded only when bootstrap is enabled too.
