Setup was pretty simple and the plugin generally worked, but the details and customization did not. The look is nice and the options for customization were things I wanted to see.

The parent menu would not adjust the size of the menu so all the submenus were cut off. If I tried to change “Parent Menu” to “False” it did not save the option and continued to display it as a dropdown.

For the background, I added a background image. It showed up though on the backend it kept adding more “/” in front of the URL address. If I changed the background color that worked.

If I changed the text color it wouldn’t display – it stayed as white.

It would be nice to be able to change the color of the actual Menu button background rather than a big block around the menu.

Any time I made changes and clicked “Save changes”, the settings screen would revert back to the old settings though the display on the frontend were (usually) showing the new settings I entered. The “Menu Position” option would work, but if I changed a different option (say background color) and didn’t switch “Position” to “Left” again, it would revert to the default “Right” option.

I think this has great potential and would love to see some of these issues fixed so I can reinstall and use on future sites. The inherent simplicity is appealing, but some functionality needs to be fixed.

Thanks! Feel free to email me at jason @ nocoward.

Thanks for the feedback Jason, appreciated, I have addressed the issue with the dropdowns not retaining their previous values.

    – The allow Parent Links does not adjust the size of the menu rather it will enable/disable the actual link of an item if it has a submenu – more of a UX feature.

    – Currently there is no option for background image only colors.

    – I will allow some more color options in another update including the Menu text color.

Thanks for the quick response, Neil!

I understand the Parent Links toggle, but the reason I tried to toggle it off was because when I clicked the arrow to open the dropdown, it didn’t adjust the size of the menu so the submenus all got cut off. Does that make sense?

Thanks again! How else can I help you?

    Hi Jason,

Yes makes sense but the issue may be CSS related to other elements on the page – if you see the demo it will keep expanding the submenus and pushing the other content down – but if an element outside of the menu is positioned in a fixed or absolute manner then yes the menu may get clipped.

    Cheers
    Neil
