A great start but basic functionality

  • This plugin works really well and goes some way towards replacing the features of Shortcodes Ultimate with blocks that play nicely with Gutenberg. Features like accordions are great. Unfortunately, the functionality of some blocks is quite limited at the moment. For example, the post grid is a really useful feature but it doesn’t let you control how the previews are displayed (excerpt length, font size, thumbnail size etc) and, critically, it doesn’t have any pagination. I’m hoping this plugin will be extended to become a 5 start plugin in the not too distant future.
    Update: I’m increasing my review from 3 to 4 stars as the author has responded positively to my above comments saying that these much-needed features are coming soon.

    Thanks for writing in and sending along your feedback! The post grid block will be seeing an update soon with some improvements as you mention. We’re trying to balance customizable blocks without having a settings overload which we’re seeing in other block solutions.

    We have some new blocks dropping soon with really intuitive customization options and improvements to our previous blocks as well. Atomic Blocks will continue to improve with every update. Stay tuned and keep an eye out for the update. We’re hoping to change your mind on that 3 star rating!
