• Thanks Josh!! I know this stuff has not been easy on you.
I absolutely LOVE the new interface! It’s MUCH better than the old dropdown selection.
Drag and drop is, also, much more intuitive!

I’ve been using Ultimate Tinymce since it’s creation, and have appreciated every update you’ve made.
I was shocked when I saw it was being discontinued!
I was SO THANKFUL when I noticed the link to this new version!

I see there are quite a few additional plugin options, only available in your PRO version.
Might I ask what is the reasoning you chose to decide what went into the PRO version?

Other than that, please keep up the great work!
I will certainly be researching the PRO version.
The masses appreciate what you do!!

Thanks Monica.. and thanks for your help lately!

Well.. this WordPress update has been tremendous.
    1. WP itself has undergone some major code udpates in regards to the editor.
    2. WP uses TinyMCE as it’s core editor software. TinyMCE also recently performed a major update on their software, in turn, causing WP to update the TinyMCE software.

So.. because of all these updates.. almost all of the addons/extras/modifications made for the older version of TinyMCE (version 3) obsolete. Not only obsolete… but attempting to use them would result in erratic plugin behavior.

Because of this… I had to re-write most of the extra addons which were previously used by Ultimate Tinymce. This includes addons like the YouTube Button, a Color Picker, Lorem Ipsum, Clker, Shortcodes, Advanced HTML editor, and more. I’ve had to re-code these from the ground up… making them compatible with the new TinyMCE (version 4).

So, that is why some of the buttons are included in Pro. If I had to go through such pains to make them compatible; then I feel it’s okay to include them in Pro.

Still.. in the free version here… all of the default TinyMCE buttons are available. Even the ones WP removes upon default installations.
