A harmonic "Get started" post?

    Is there a “how to” or “Get started” page/instructions for the Harmonic theme? It looks to be great for a photo site, but I’m at a loss as to where to start.

  • I haven’t used this theme but it looks like a lot of setting it up is done in the Customizer…

    To use the site logo feature on a self-hosted site you’ll need to activate Jetpack:

    To use the portfolio feature you’ll need to activate Jetpack’s Custom Content Types module.

    hello Kathryn,

    I am using the Harmonic Theme (just started)

    I could use the help to make the front page editable as I wanted,
    but can you help me in linking the front page to the title of the website,
    so everytime someone clicks on the left top title, it will take him to the front static page, and not the post (‘hello world’)

    this might be very easy, but your help will be appreciated. thanks.

    I think I figured that, (too soon to ask the question)

    another question:
    is there an easy way to uncheck the capability of people posting a reply, or even the existence of the reply/comment box on a page.

    himanshukalra – sure, you can turn off comments the way you can on any WordPress site – it’s not specific to a theme.

    Unchecking the box next to ” Allow people to post comments on new articles” in your dashboard under Settings > Discussion will turn off commenting on all future pages and posts.

    For posts and pages you already created, you can bulk-edit them (on the Pages and Posts overview pages in the dashboard) to deactivate commenting or uncheck the comment/pingback boxes on invidual posts and pages – they look like this: https://cloudup.com/ccRCC9wYklS
