A life saver

  • I cannot remember the number of times this plugin saved my life! I want to give it 5 star but noticed that scheduled backup doesn’t always working as scheduled on some installations. Not sure if it’s an issue with that particular server or WP installation or with the plugin. Still this is a must have plugin for all WP installations.

    Edit: After I left the above review, the developer kindly sent me a link so I could read what’s going on. And I’ve learnt many things I didn’t know about the plugin’s functionalities and WordPress backup in general. That act alone deserves a 5 star rating so I’ve happily upgraded my rating to 5 stars.

    UpdraftPlus uses WordPress’s scheduler, so is dependent upon WordPress’s scheduling calling the backup task at the scheduled time.

    WordPress’s scheduler can only run at times that the site is being visited, and relies on there being enough visitors to service all the registered events for the site.
