• Few tools in the WP space are taking this granular approach to web development, and in this world where HTML hints for SEO are more important than ever, it is important to that we have tools that keep developers in the drivers seat when constructing a page. And Builderius is doing just that. I love the level of control we retain over the individual CSS and HTML within Builderius. Wow!

I have also noticed the team’s communications and engagement with the community, and it has caught my attention. It’s nice to see that kind of love for a product.

My personal plea to the team is for them to explore the implications of server-side rendering of HTML (via Php for WordPress) vs. utilizing frameworks like React which generate HTML client side. There are serious tradeoffs to be made here between the user having an “app-like experience” once the page actually loads with client-side rendering but at the cost of slower initial page loads to the load the Javascript, and SEO penalties related to more requests needing to be made by the Google crawler to render the HTML. No claims of being an expert here myself, but it’s a topic truly worth of investigation in the context of Builderius’ mission to stay ahead of the competition in being both performant, SEO-rich, and developer-focused. Perhaps there are resources I can share with the team about this topic, although I am a fairly new developer myself.

I am deeply curious about what other IDE-like elements can be incorporated into Builderius. I am thinking it would be cool to see ways where we could directly tap into the SQL database from the pagebuilder itself for example and leverage that for dynamic content. It will be interesting to see how the Builderius team takes their philosophy of empowering the developers on WordPress to the next level in 2023.

I give this a solid 5 stars and commend the team for the consistent and persistent improvements and updates to the project.
