• I’ve tried several database cleaning plugins and NONE of them even came close to the quality of ADC. I used PHPMyAdmin for a long time, doing it all manually because other plugins always caused one problem or another.

ADC has been a breath of fresh air. So much so that I paid for the pro version.

ADC isn’t perfect, but the only real ‘problem’ with it is it’s detection of orphans or their associated parent plugin isn’t always correct. This is totally understandable as it would take an incredible amount of work to get it right every time – so much so that I don’t actually think it’s even possible.

You still need some idea of what you’re doing, but as long as you make sure you have backups of your database and don’t delete anything without knowing that it can definitely be deleted, you’ll appreciate how much time this plugin can save you when doing database cleanups.

    Dear Tekguild,

Thank you very much for your review.

As you have said, it is very difficult to get a 100% accuracy of results. This is because there is no standard concerning names of options, tables and tasks created by plugins and themes. Every plugin/theme can insert several items in your database with different prefixes and formats. Sometimes, in the code of the plugin/theme itself, the name of an option can be spitted into several substrings that are concatenated later before being inserted into the database. It is almost impossible to track all these variables format automatically. This is why the plugin is not accurate 100%, but as you have said, it will save you a lot of time when doing cleanup if you know what you are doing.

    Thank you.
    Best regards.
