A MUST HAVE PLUGIN – THANK YOU!

  • JFC – I was in a real panic after updating to WP 5.0 – only to discover this absolutely horrible Gutenberg editor came with it (porting thousands and thousands of posts to a new site, EACH post has to be edited manually). What were they thinking? Alienating millions of long time WP users was a good thing? I IMMEDIATELY checked my other blogs to see if they had updated to 5.0 (not yet) – thankfully!!!! Then I started looking for a way to make sure they DIDN’T.

    After checking around for reviews on the Gutenberg editor, the developers chose to ignore thousands of complaints and went with this ridiculous monstrosity anyway. What’s with that? Forcing people to use what they absolutely do not want or need? Arrogance? Indifference? Stupidity?

    Thankfully, there is a way out of this dilemma without abandoning WordPress altogether – get this plugin and go back to doing it the “old school way” (which works JUST FINE AND WE PREFER IT – GET IT????). It’s also far more efficient (faster) for your workflow to do it the “old way” versus this “block” requirement they’ve dreamed up. The developers need to actually LISTEN to their users – 5.0 SHOULD have come with a DISABLE GUTENBERG option right off the bat.
