A new theme has evolved!

  • Hi!

    Over several months I have so altered the original theme I started with it bears little resemblance to the original. How do I rename this thing and use it on my site without losing any functionality? I am worried that I’ll forget to not up-date it late some night and then have the angst and heartache of putting things back as I want them.

    I understand the basics of a child theme, but this thing would require a dna test for paternity at this point.

    Obviously I change the contents of the name, description, etc. right?

    Then how do I load the theme in “Appearance/ Themes” so I can call it? Or will it be loaded into the themes section by wordpress when it sees the new header?

    I think I did it! (Surprised sounding exclamation!)
    I was unsure what to do for the Theme URI, but things look fine.
