A notepad in my dashboard

  • Hello,
    I was wondering if it would be possible, one way or the other, to have some sort of notepad thingy in my dashboard. It could be just a module like all the other, but instead of showing reactions, drafts or news etcetc it could be just a blank “note”. You could write anything down there, which you could use in your posts. At the moment, im using Evernote for this. But its another program that has to be opened to be usefull. I would like to be able to have just my browser open and do everything in that browser.

    Anylike likes the idea? Im not talking about a plugin or something, because I dont realy like plugins. I dont like being dependent on plugins.

  • Unless it is in the core release, it is going to have to be a plugin.

    I’m assuming you’ve already seen QuickPress in your dashboard. You can make ‘notes’ and save them as drafts. Then clean them up when/if you like. If they eventually become ready for prime-time then you can publish them. Is that going to fit your needs?

    No, this isnt going to fit my needs, but thanks for answering. Ive send a message to Matt and he said its something thats on the WP team wishlist. Maybe for coming update.
