A particular image not showing up in post

    I’ve had this site for a few months and everything’s been working fine. However today I am trying to put an image in my post using the uploader as always and it shows up in the gallery etc… but will not show up in the post, or even in the “Visual” editor.

    There seems to be a garbage value inserted in the class as well. I’ve tried the same image as png and jpg and I’ve tried a different image (which works) but this one image won’t.

    Here’s the generated tag. The image itself is viewable in the browser at that location. Note the garbage class yjlfrvdkmfjxppjrqqei.

    I’m stumped and stymied! Any ideas? I saw another post mentioning the garbage class value, but there were no responses and the post got closed.

    Looks strange. But I do not find it with your other images. Check if such additions/ scripts are being shown with other images.

    However, I find that your theme is either outdated or broken (apart from old version of WP). Try replacing your theme with a latest version. Also turn off the plugins and turn them on one by one to see if the problem is caused by plugins.

    If the above tests do not remove the garbage/ script, it is something that needs a serious view.

    I’ve had a similar problem when images didn’t complete processing (the php script timed out). Which is usually caused by too large a file size. Try reducing the size of the photo, or at least the file size with compression. Just a shot in the dark but it might help.

    Hi Krishna, the other images load fine, I do not have this problem with other images.
    What makes you say the theme is broken btw? So far I’ve been liking it just fine. Nothing else is misbehaving.

    Cynnie88, the file size was not that big, 33KB. But what you said about processing made me think of something else… I took a screenshot of the picture and saved that and uploaded it, and it worked!
    Something in the processing of the original image must be failing and causing wordpress to put that tag in. Which is weird because I tried saving the image in different formats using irfanview and photoshop and no dice. But the screenshot worked.
