A perfect example of UI destruction
-
I don’t know what were the developers thinking when they decided to add this UI changes on Version 7… but watch out for your metrics and you will know that I am right.
A drastic change such as this, is usually implemented slowly.
To transform the overall simple and familiar UI into a mesh of options scattered all around (and with annoying popups teaching us how to use a familiar plugin), is suicide. Some people will love it but believe me, that most will hate it.
Furthermore, there seems to be a lot of “upgrade now” for everything… which is understandable, but at the very least, you have to create a single page where we (developers, programmers, sysadmin people) can setup all things in one page.
Isn’t this much cleaner than now?
https://cdn.pbrd.co/images/H4RaKW9.pngIt’s the worst design choice ever, in the history of wordpress plugins that I can remember. Will look into other alternatives from now on.
Not sure about your clients, but most of my clients contacted me complaining that their firewall plugin has been hacked or something… they cannot figure out out to look at the basic things anymore.
So now, I have to teach them again how to use this plugin…
Guess I’ll start sending them to wordfence support for complaining about the changes.
I have over 100 clients with a premium wordfence license complaining… but whatever.
