A phone number is required to complete your checkout through Amazon Pay

  • Amazon Pay reports error “A phone number is required to complete your checkout through Amazon Pay.” in checkout when phone field is set to “optional”, although a phone number is entered. Disabling WooCommerce PayPal Payments makes the problem disappear. Also setting the phone field as required in the theme settings (Astra). In Storefront same behavior.

    Hope you are doing well!

    Could you please confirm the versions of WordPress, WooCommerce, Amazon Pay, Astra theme, and the PayPal plugin that you’re currently using? I was able to reproduce the issue on your site, but I couldn’t replicate it on our testing site.

    Hi Christian,

    Wouldn’t it be better to have admin access to the site? This is also just our testing site. However, we have the problem on a production site, and we were able to reproduce it on the this testing site.

    In case you want admin access just tell me how to pass the credentials.

    To answer your actual question, it is a multisite WordPress 6.6.1., WooCommerce 9.1.4, WooCommerce Amazon Pay 2.5.2, Astra theme 4.7.3 & Astra Pro 4.7.2, WooCommerce PayPal Payments 2.8.3.
