A problem I used to be able to fix – Duplicate featured image

With every other theme I’ve used where I encountered this problem, which is most of them, I could go to theme editor, and simply remove a line of code and presto, the featured image for the post appearing at the top of the individual posts was fixed and no longer appeared. However with this new theme, Trekking Sports, (which has no active support forum), it is a child theme of the adventure trekking camp theme. I would typically go to the single post php code and remove the line I would need to remove, usually “get_thumbnail” or something like that. However, with this being a child theme, there was no single post php code and also in the parent theme, I couldn’t find the “get_thumbnail” line of code to remove in the single post php file.
I have no idea how to fix this problem in this theme.

@gophumek Hello, I am having the same issue. I have tried all solution possible, all to no avail. Until I saw your post on removing a line of code from the theme editor. I seldom venture into theme editor. Can you please, kindly, point me to the line of code I have to remove the duplicate featured image.
Hello, I’m having a similar, if not identical, issue with the twenty twenty-three theme. I have an oversized, duplicate grey image at the top of my blog posts.
