i have to say i have been blindly playing around with this and modifying certain things. I’m no expert but I’ve got what i needed. except i just tested the comments on my site, and i got the following error.

Fatal error: Call to undefined function: gravatar() in /home/wwwbrig/public_html/blog/wp-content/themes/simple/comments.php on line 30

https://www.brightest-bulb.com/ you should be able to see the problem on the first post

i haven’t actually touched the comments section so i’m not really sure whats wrong. a little help would be very much appreciated. and sorry if this has been answered a thousand times before, but i couldn’t really find anything specific to my needs.

  • You have probably installed a theme that has a call for gravatars in comments, but on the other hand, seemingly the plugin needed for that is not installed.
    (my guess)

what are gravatars? would installing this plugin help? or do i need to change the file from the theme?

Gravatars. Installing the plugin would make “gravatars()” a working function, so it would fix the problem. The other way of solving it would be going to comments.php and debugging it there.
