a problem with log-in and cookies???
-
I have a client that cannot login to a blog I installed for her. I have now logged in to her admin area from 4 other computers without issue. We are trying to figure out what she needs to manipulate from her end to make it happen.
This happened on another blog of hers, so she is not new to this, but what fixed it last time won’t fix this different blog this time.
What we’ve done:created a new password from the database; deleted, downloaded, and uploaded a new wp-login.php; she has added to her Zone Alarm trusted zone; she has checked that her firewall is not blocking; she has cleared her cache; cleared her history; cleared her cookies.
She has not been able to log-in from the very beginning. She has implemented the password reset, but when it comes back to her and she tries to log-in it won’t allow her. She does not get the “Incorrect Password” message, but instead gets looped back to the login.
She has noticed that the blog is not trying to set any cookies; blog is at https://www.johnmohawk.com. She deleted all cookies and tried again to check and said that WP is not setting cookies at all.
Each time she completed one of these ‘routines’ to figure it out (cookies, new password, log
check), she rebooted to be sure she had a fresh slate. So, does anyone have an answer as to why it won’t leave cookies? Also, would it matter that it is an Add-On Domain? I wouldn’t think so b/c it is accessible by others.
Any ideas?
