A related post plug-in that uses titles only?

Hi everyone

I run quite a large travel blog with almost 10,000 articles. On it we have a related posts plug-in but the quality of the relevancy tends to be very poor.

Our most recent post is a case in point:

“UNESCO sites in Cordoba”

Suggested related posts are ‘Yachting in Europe without breaking the bank’, ‘The fabulous 5 in the Dolomites’ and ‘The 5 most photographed sites in the Galapagos’.

It’s so random! And yet on the site we have other posts such as ‘8 reasons why you should visit Cordoba’ and ‘5 things to do in Cordoba’ which are seemingly deemed as far less relevant. It just doesn’t make sense.

I’m told by our hosts and developers that our site is not straight forward and it is not easy to do this quickly given the size of the site and the volume of content.

My thinking is that even if we had something that looked only at post titles only – which I assume would be pretty quick and efficient and not a drain on server resources – it would work much, much better… is there such a plug-in available, do you know?

Or does anyone have any other suggestions?

PS – I do have the ability to customise the related posts by hand if I so wish but given the relevancy is so poor across most posts, this would be quite an undertaking and defeat the purpose of having a plug-in in the first place, I feel…
