    Hi,
    Please add an option to remove url field in comments to prevent spammers who write fake comments and fill the url field to get just backlink.

    Hi, I understand your request. However WordPress already has something in place to help you with what you are trying to achieve. You can prevent words, characters, urls and much more.

    Go to Settings -> Discussion in WordPress admin. Look for the following two options.


    Comment Moderation
    Comment Blacklist
