A revoltion theme question

Hi,

im making a website at the moment based on a wordpress revoltion theme, i have one final problem with integration. the website is here:

there are 2 central colums called “featured” aboove the video, and 3 columns on the left on the hompepage. the only way i can seem to get new posts in those sections is by classing a post as unclassified, then my one post populates all 5 sections, which isnt what i want, obviously i want 5 individual posts displaying in those 5 columns, im messed about with categories but bnothing seems to work, i think it might be to do with cat ID’s and such like, but would be grateful if anyone could help me
