• I have installed the plugin on my site to test few weeks ago. I’m now getting this performance related notification in wordpress “Site Health”:

    A scheduled event is late

    The scheduled event, wf_scan_monitor, is late to run. Your site still works, but this may indicate that scheduling posts or automated updates may not work as intended.

    What do I need to do to fix this issue?

    Hi @asif_rn, thanks for your question!

    wf_scan_monitor?usually only appears during a Wordfence scan as it just watches a running scan to ensure it completes, and it does not need to be rescheduled in your list of WP Cron jobs when it ends. There is a possibility that the Site Health scan happed during a Wordfence scan, so spotted this cron overdue.

    There are a small number edge-cases where it doesn’t stop, so if you can still see wf_scan_monitor hanging around in the “Cron Jobs” table when you look at Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics, you could send us a full scan log to assist with our development in this area.

    If you check Wordfence > Scan > Email Activity Log, you can send it to wftest @ wordfence . com. Just let me know here when you’ve sent it so I can take a look for it in our inbox.

    Hi Peter,

    Thank you very much for looking into this. I just emailed both activity logs from Wordfence > Scan > Email Activity Log, and from Wordfence > Tools > Diagnostics to the provided email.

    I still see the critical error message even though I have cleared the cache.

    I’ve received your diagnostic but not activity log. If you did send it before, would it be possible to send it manually from your email address to our email address above? You may need to “View full log” from Wordfence > Scan and save the web page in your browser.
