A search icon appears on the right side of all the sites where site kit is installed, does anyone know how to remove it?

Thanks for reaching out @rosemberg-lozano. If you’d like to share the following we can hopefully determine what’s happening in this case:

    1. Your Site Health information. You can use this form to share privately if preferred.??
    2. Has this always occurred for you, since first installing and using Site Kit?

Once we have the above we can provide the most suitable troubleshooting suggestions. Site Kit doesn’t include any search feature on the front end of users sites, so I suspect there is something at host or plugin level impacting your site.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

    1. https://snipboard.io/YyqXNE.jpg I leave a screenshot
    2. This never happened to me with the Site Kit until I have installed it many times on other websites, I scanned it with wordfence and I did not find malware, I deactivated all the plugins and the one that has this is the Site Kit

    thanks for your quick response

Many thanks for the update @rosemberg-lozano, and in particular the screenshot exhibiting the search button markup. From reviewing this I noticed a ft-floating-toolbar div, which is not within the Site Kit plugin codebase.

While this isn’t a Site Kit feature, I would be happy to help you in trying to determine the cause. In order to do so, please perform the steps below:

    1. Login to your live site from a Chrome browser incognito window.
    2. Install and activate the Health Check & Troubleshooting plugin.
    3. Navigate to “Plugins > Health Check & Troubleshooting > Troubleshoot”.
    4. From the same screen click on the “Available Plugins” tab at the top right and then click on the “Enable” option next to “Site Kit by Google“.
    5. Check for the same error.

The above will determine whether the search bar appears with only Site Kit active. Should it appear, then there may be something at host level which is resulting in this addition.

Let me know how you get on with the above.

Already use the Check & Troubleshooting plugin and perform all the steps mentioned above and activate Site Kit

Thanks for the update @rosemberg-lozan. I checked the button on your site and it looks like this floating button is not part of your standard WordPress setup, but it may be added via your AdSense settings (see this reference).

To resolve this, if you don’t wish to have this button appearing, please visit your AdSense settings and disable the “Related Search” option from your “In-page formats” configuration, as per this screenshot.

Let me know if you have any questions with the above.

@rosemberg-lozano I’m just following up with you to check whether the issue with the search box remains? If so please let me know if you checked the suggested settings with your AdSense Auto ads settings.

As we didn’t receive a response I’ll mark this as resolved. Feel free to open a new support topic if you continue to encounter issues, or reopen this topic and we’d be happy to assist.
