Hi! I’m using Passster to protect a page that uses a shortcode to call posts from a custom post type. This was all working fine until the last few days. Now, I just see the shortcode on the page. It’s like it’s not being recognized. Any thoughts?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hey @jillbalkus,

    thanks for your report!

Maybe the “Use Ajax” option in Passster->Settings->Advanced is activated, but the shortcode wasn’t added to the Third-Party-Shortcodes setting?

This would explain why the shortcode (instead of the rendered content) is shown once you unlock it.

If that’s not the case, can you provide an example page with protection and an example password to get a better idea of the issue?

    Thanks,

    Patrick

Ah, ok. I didn’t have a shortcode added to the Settings. I added it, but the problem persists. Perhaps I’m not adding it right?

    Here’s the shortcode I added:

    [jld-toolkit cat=”all,holiday,intermediate,level-1,level-2,older-beginner,primer,studio-tools”]

Should I do it like this instead?

    – jld-toolkit cat=”all,holiday,intermediate,level-1,level-2,older-beginner,primer,studio-tools”

    – [jld-toolkit]

    – jld-tookit

    Hey @jillbalkus,

the first version is correct (with square brackets)!

It still depends on how the actual shortcode is built (that’s why you need to specifically opt-in to “Use Ajax”).

Which plugin is that? I googled “jld-toolkit”, but I did not get any meaningful results ??

    EDIT: JLD… – Jill Anderson? A custom-coded shortcode? ??

    Best regards,

    Patrick

It’s done with code in a core functionality plugin. Can I make you an admin for you to look at the file?

Hey Patrick – yep, it’s a shortcode I created. Any specific things to check for?

Just an update that I downgraded the plugin to Version 3.5.5.9 and that fixed the issue.
