A Static Front Page Causes a Redirect Loop

  • Hi,

    Since updating WordPress MU Domain Mapping – if example.com is mapped over asite.original.com and the ‘Front page displays’ is set to a static page then the site goes into a loop and Google Chrome eventually displays ‘This webpage has a redirect loop’.

    If I change the ‘Front page displays’ to Your latest posts the site maps ok.

    This issue is also causing great demand on the web server to the point that at times it throws a 508 error.

    Can I get feedback on how to fix this (it is currently most painful) and, in the meantime, is there a link to an older version of this plugin that works I can download?
