A terrible podcasting plugin

  • Firstly, let me state I am a paying Castos customer and their general podcast service is pretty good but this plugin is terrible.

    I have no idea why the reviews for this plugin are positive. It’s a terrible podcasting app for a WordPress blog. It creates post entry formats that don’t look anything like your site’s original post layout. It hijacks your categories too.

    I tried to use it about four months ago and it was a terrible experience. I’ve re-downloaded it today and nothing has changed.

    If you really need a podcasting plugin that integrates with your site and it’s using your own branded RSS feed go with Blubrry/Powerpress. If not, like me, then Castos will do. Just don’t use this plugin.

    Hi @stedavies,

    We’re sorry you didn’t like our plugin. Yes, our plugin uses custom post types for episodes, but you can still use standard posts for it ( maybe you didn’t know about this feature? ).

    Also, could you describe what specifically you are missing in our plugin?
