A waste of time

  • Disabling right-click is so easy to do I am surprised that it is not a standard feature of WordPress.

    But maybe because disabling right-click is nothing more than an annoyance when visitors still have 20-30 other methods available for save, copy, download and screen capture are not prevented. One of those exploits is by using screen capture software and there is about 100 of them! Another exploit is using site and media grabbers and there are more than 100 of those apps!

    This plugin is useless for copy protection.

    It’s worth noting that the existence of methods to bypass protection doesn’t invalidate the value of the plugin. While you might choose to dismiss the plugin, over 100,000 users find it valuable and continue to benefit from it, regardless of the level of protection it provides.

    We have a clear vision and purpose in developing this plugin, and the positive feedback we receive from our users motivates us to keep improving it. Following the logic that a plugin should be abandoned because it isn’t foolproof would mean no plugins would ever be created, as all software has its limitations and challenges.
