  • Your website is rather sophisticated, I couldn’t find much to complain about in terms of design or code. I like the subject and writing as well (I subscribed by RSS).

One suggestion I would offer – I have a 1920 x 1080 pixel monitor, and I found article text somewhat hard to read. Granted, I experience this on a lot of websites, and fix it by zooming in, but maybe increase the font-size and see how it looks (or use em instead of pixels for font size).

The challenge now is gaining a readership. The best advice I can offer you is to consistently write quality articles. Also, focus on helping those in your community – they’ll help you in turn.

I was just reading a few articles on your site, and I have a couple additional suggestions.

First, I recommend allowing people to comment without being registered. Commenting is key to blogging – it raises engagement with your writing, causing people to spend more time on your site and maybe share it with friends.

The forums can serve as a members-only discussion area, if you want that.

Second, I couldn’t find an e-mail address anywhere on your site. I had originally intended to send you these suggestions by e-mail, but had to resort to this forum instead.

    Hello,

Agree there are no contact form on your site. You want to add that.
Reading white on black is hard on the eyes. There is a reason why most sites use black on white ??

    Just my two cents,
    Vicky

I agree about the text color, and I was going to say that in my original answer, but decided against it.

The reason I didn’t is because you’re using the commercial Video Zoom theme, and modifying it would take considerable CSS work (if you do have CSS knowledge, maybe try it).

However, there may be built-in theme options for altering the colors – if so, I second Vicky’s suggestion.

First off, I greatly appreciate the feedback! I don’t really know anyone in my personal life who is familiar with blogging or running a website, so your feedback is invaluable.

I’ll look into changing the font size and theme. I just really like the video zoom layout but I’m willing to change.

Comments are now open to unregistered users, thanks for the tip! And I’ll work on a contact form.

A contact form plugin I’ve used is Fast Secure Contact Form.

    That`s a good one Odai.
